Monica Boen, MD

Dr. Monica Boen is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologic surgeon at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in San Diego, California. Her clinical expertise and research focus on aesthetic dermatology, laser surgery, injectable therapeutics, skin rejuvenation, and personalized treatment plans across all skin types.

A dedicated educator and researcher, Dr. Boen is actively involved in clinical trials evaluating cutting-edge innovations in cosmetic dermatology and regularly presents her findings at national and international medical conferences. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS). Her clinical excellence has earned her multi-year recognition as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and a San Diego County Medical Society Top Doctor.

Dr. Boen graduated with a double major in Biology and International Studies from Northwestern University and earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she served as Chief Resident, followed by an ASDS-accredited fellowship in cosmetic dermatologic surgery.
