Saakshi Khattri, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Saakshi Khattri is a board certified Dermatologist, Rheumatologist and Internist and one of only a handful of triple board certified physicians across the United States. After completing her M.B.B.S. from Delhi University (India), Dr. Khattri moved to New York to complete her Internal Medicine Residency followed by a fellowship in Rheumatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. It was during her fellowship that she realized how little rheumatologists knew about the skin and vice versa.
She completed a two-year long research fellowship in Rockefeller University under the mentorship of Dr. Emma Guttman and Dr. James Krueger where she conducted bench research in atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and successfully conducted clinical trials in atopic dermatitis. Dr. Khattri then completed a residency in Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where she served as chief resident and after the completion of her residency stayed as faculty. She is the Director of The Center for Connective Tissue Diseases, at Mount Sinai. Her clinical focus is on inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases, complex medical dermatology and diseases with rheumatology/dermatology overlap. Besides patient care she is actively involved in research and is PI for several clinical trials in various autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. |
