Dr. Ngo received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at UCLA. She was a research scientist at Baxter Biotech in Duarte, California prior to entering the University of Nebraska School of Medicine from which she graduated in May 2003. She subsequently completed two years of internal medicine residency at USC prior to entering a dermatology residency at Harbor - UCLA Medical Center in 2005. She served as chief resident in dermatology from 2007 - 2008. She received her board certification from the American Board of Dermatology and joined the USC faculty as in November of 2008 and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology. She is very active in the Dermatology Residency Training Program at USC and co-directs the Cosmetic Dermatology teaching program. She has a primary research interest in familial malignant melanoma and directs the joint USC-Hoag Hospital High Risk Skin Cancer Program. Her work focuses on genetic risk for melanoma. She has an active interest in Covid-19 and has published a number of papers dealing with treatment options. She is a frequent commentator of Covid-19 articles in JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, and the British Medical Journal. |
