Peter Rullan, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Peter Rullan has been in private practice in Chula Vista since 1983. He is one of 21 physicians in his family over the last four generations, including two daughters (one works with him). He did his undergraduate training at the University of Chicago; received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico; and did his Internship and Dermatology training at the University of California, Irvine. He became Board Certified in Dermatology in 1983. He is also a Diplomate of the Boards of Cosmetic Surgery (Dermatology) and Facial Cosmetic Surgery. 

He is Past-President of the San Diego Dermatologic Surgical and Medical Societies. He serves as Volunteer Clinical Faculty with the Department of Dermatology, University of California, San Diego. He lectures nationally and internationally many times, and conducts clinical training seminars in the art of Chemical Peeling.He has been selected as one of “America’s Best Doctors” (2002-2019) and “San Diego’s Best Doctors”.

Dr. Rullan is widely published. He has authored 8 chapters in 7 medical textbooks, and has over 15 scientific publications in Dermatologic and Plastic Surgery Journals. The topics covered in these publications include immune-dermatology, cosmetic dermal fillers, wound healing, treating emergency filler complications, and most notably, chemical peels for Acne Scars, Wrinkles and skin of color issues like Melasma.

​Dr. Rullan is Past-President of the Rotary Club of Chula Vista. His hobbies include golf, snow-skiing, scuba diving and playing guitar.
