Dr. Paul Yamauchi

Dr. Paul Yamauchi is a dermatologist in private practice and medical director at both the Dermatology Institute & Skin Care Center and Clinical Science Institute in Santa Monica, California. Dr. Yamauchi is a clinical assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Yamauchi earned his BS in biochemistry at the University of California at Los Angeles, his PhD in biologic chemistry at the University of California at Santa Barbara, and his MD at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. He completed his residency in dermatology at UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Yamauchi is a fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatology Surgery, California Dermatology Society, and the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatologic Society. He serves on the editorial board of various journals and on task force committees for the American Academy of Dermatology. He is the author or co-author of more than 70 publications, including several books. Dr. Yamauchi has edited a book entitled “Biologic and Systemic Agents in Dermatology” and is editor-in-chief of Dermatology Reports. Dr. Yamauchi conducts numerous clinical research trials at the Clinical Science Institute in Santa Monica and is recognized as a key opinion leader in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. He was previously on the Medical Board for the National Psoriasis Foundation and is currently on the Scientific Advisory Council for the National Eczema Association. Dr. Yamauchi has been the recipient of many top awards including the Castle Connolly’s listing of American’s Top Doctors, the Marquis Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Super Doctors in Southern California, the Expert Network, and was honored at a gala for the National Psoriasis Foundation. |
