Paul Yamauchi, MD, PhD

Dr. Paul Yamauchi is a dermatologist and president and medical director at the Dermatology Institute &Skin Care Center and Clinical Science Institute in Santa Monica, California. He is a clinical professor of dermatology in the Division of Dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Yamauchi earned his BS in biochemistry at the University of California at Los Angeles, his PhD in biologic chemistry at the University of California at Santa Barbara, and his MD at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. He completed his residency in dermatology at UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Yamauchi is a fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology. He serves on the editorial board of various journals and on several task force committees for the American Academy of Dermatology. He is the author of more than 120 publications in peer reviewed journals and several books including editor-of-chief of a book entitled “Biologic and Systemic Agents in Dermatology”. Dr. Yamauchi conducts numerous clinical research trials at the Clinical Science Institute in Santa Monica and is recognized as a key opinion leader in psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and other skin conditions. He is currently on the Medical Board for the National Psoriasis Foundation and previously served on the Scientific Advisory Council for the National Eczema Association. Dr. Yamauchi has been the recipient of many top awards including the Castle Connolly’s listing of American’s Top Doctors, Newsweek Best Medical Dermatologists, the Marquis Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Super Doctors in Southern California, the Expert Network, and was honored at a gala for the National Psoriasis Foundation. |
